Adult Literacy Rate in the UAE
The Literacy rate of the UAE is one of the highest in the world, 90% of the people aged 15 and above being able to read (according to the World Bank). Surprisingly around 2% of the women’s population is more literate than the men’s. Unfortunately, as the years go by the United Arab Emirate’s literacy rate seems to be decreasing.

Since 2003 the unemployment rate in the UAE had been increasing, peaking in 2012 and then finally decreasing a bit at what seems like a constant pace. This could only mean that the economy is taking a turn for the better, so far down to 4.2%.
